I created TrueU Health & Wellness, LLC in 2016 as a health coaching platform. I was working as a registered nurse but was also a newly certified personal trainer. I was on fire to help women get healthy. Ugh, I cringe thinking back on this time. I was naïve and spewing health trends that were nothing more than…well, trends. I felt the friction in my body. The health coaching realm didn’t fit me. TrueU sat mostly neglected. I enjoyed helping people get healthy, but I really got excited when they made breakthroughs in their thinking. I cheered endlessly when I witnessed their “aha” moments and permitted themselves to step into their truth. It wasn’t always about physical health. It was more about what they saw in the mirror, what they dreamed of, and following their passions.

When I learned about energy healing and became a reiki master practitioner, I tried to rebrand TrueU as a spiritual coaching business and offered reiki and spiritual insight. I felt aligned in this and it was during this time I felt my most authentic self. But self-sabotage is a bitch and once again, TrueU sat neglected. I was too worried about what others would think. I also believe during this time I was still finding my place. I was still trying to decipher my constitution. I am helping others discover their truth but what is mine?

I make a living as a hospice nurse and feel lucky to be able to make a living doing something I love and remain curious about. My work with the dying led me to the role of the death doula. I was immediately intrigued and drawn to it. I took a course certifying me as a death doula and a death midwife. To this day, I believe my work is meant to be in the realm of death and dying. However, my expression is so much bigger. It is not to be niched down, put in a box, or branded. If TrueU is to be branded it is to be as a space where people feel safe to discover and express their true selves.

Initially, this website was created…TrueU was yet again rebranded… to try to be something for everyone; health & fitness, energy healing, death & dying care, and education. I can’t give something I don’t believe in my attention. It must have my buy-in, through and through. I must believe in it 100% to promote it, talk about, share it, and work it. TrueU, once again, sat neglected.

TrueU Health & Wellness continues to:

Provide community care and education for those curious about end-of-life.

Work alongside individuals from all walks of life to guide and help prepare for the end of life.

Provide coaching for people ready to allow the natural life cycle of death to be a sacred teacher.

TrueU Health & Wellness also:

Serve as a platform for creative expression for women and individuals who identify with the feminine or who are open to the feminine energy. I am not quite sure what this will look like, but I am open to it being created.
